Your mission
Position Summary
Development of medical laser system including both optical adjustment and characterization as well as verification and documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Optical adjustment and characterization of lasers including verification and documentation
  • Error analysis and correction during development processes
  • Development of medical laser system design by requirement definition
  • Performance test of the complete medical device
  • Evaluate cooling technologies to utilize it in laser product
  • Report progress of the development results
  • close cooperation within development with other departments both inside and outside the company
  • Support external research project according set objectives
  • Observation of trends in optical technologies
  • Review and analysis of patents and scientific literature
  • Pursuing suggestions for new product ideas and functions
Your profile
  • Degree in physics or electronical/mechanical engineering or equivalent with strong background in design of opto-mechanical and electrical components
  • at least 3 years in R&D of laser-components (optical, electrical, mechanical)
  • Profound knowledge and technical understanding of laser technology, optics and opto-mechanical setups; Knowledge in design of solid-state lasers (flash lamp and diode pumped)
  • knowledge in design of medical devices and analogue electronic circuits
  • Very good lab skills (problem solving attitude, hands-on mentality, independent working, quality-oriented working style)
  • High level team oriented work, creativity and communication skills as well as self-initiative
  • Very good written and oral English
  • Knowledge of standards in health care industry (FDA, IEC60601, EN62304)
  • Desirable would be experience in embedded software development (e.g. docklight, labview, python) + CAD tools (e.g.ProEngineer)
